Pidy's mini choux pastry profiteroles are hand-mixed the traditional way using butter, fresh whole eggs and a select grade of pastry flour. To serve, fill with patisserie cream and cover with dark chocolate dessert topping sauce. One bottle of chocolate sauce should be enough for 2 boxes of 75 profiteroles.

    Good even sized crisp choux buns ideal for making a croquembouche and bowlfuls of extras stayed really crisp and lovely after filling.

    I couldnt pipe the cream in , so split them in half and filled with cream . They softened up in about half and hour . I would fill them much sooner in future as they were still perfect the next day .Its really not worth the faff to make them yourself as these were as good as any i have tried

    I used these to make some banoffee-style profiteroles and they were excellent. As promised in other reviews, even with quite a thick whipped cream (and banana!) filling they softened up beautifully from their very crisp state in a couple of hours.

    Very useful and time-saving. Once filled they soon soften to a good consistency. Because they are dried, cutting can make them split, so they need to be pierced carefully with the star nozzle before piping.

    These are mini sized - good for croquembouche.

    I would say I make excellent profiteroles but this time I wanted to make a croquembouche and just didn't have time to make so many. So I took the plunge and ordered. These taste really good when filled and the great thing is they are all the same size so they look very professional! Delivery was great too - and I would highly recommend for all occasions.

    I made 2 croquembouches from these profiteroles. They are perfectly dry which gives you time between filling them with creme patisserie and assembling the cake without them going soft. The taste is as it should be, plain and buttery. When combined with creme patisserie, they taste incredible. The staff over the phone could not have been more helpful and the next day delivery arrived early with everything well packed and secured. I'm never making profiteroles again for such a large cake, I'm ordering from here.

    When they arrived were a bit worried as seemed very dry but once we had used a skewer to make a hole in the bottom and filled with cream, after about 4 hours they were perfect and made a great Christmas Eve centrepiece when formed into a croquembouche.

    These cunning little "cheats" arrived promptly, look home made and are scrumptious filled with whatever cheese you have in the fridge mixed together with cream cheese, a little crème fraiche and a packet of grated cheese if needed for quantitiy. Serve with a tomato salsa and you can't go wrong. I used a stanley knife to cut them.

    The profiteroles arrived protectively packaged the day after ordering them. The only tip I would give for filing is to ignore the instructions for making a hole with the star nozzle as they are very brittle before filling. I used a gentle touch and a sharp knife. After filling they 'relax' and are perfect, not at all soggy and I prepared them 4 hours before consumption. They look wonderful too.
