White Wines

Produced by pressing white or red grapes and fermenting the resulting juice. White wines currently in Vogue include: Pinot Grigio and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. These wines can range from the very light for example, Muscadet to richer wines such as Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay. Fermenting in Oak or Oak Maturation adds more richness, depth and complexity. Some of the greatest White wines in the world use Oak in this way such as White Burgundy based upon Chardonnay. Recently, White wine has reached parity with red wine sales after many years of inequality.
